| #FOR FANS OF: Thrash Metal |
This Chicago-based thrash metal band really hit home with me. I think that their style or songwriting approach did a number with me. Really a unique band and another boon is that the leads are really well played out. The rhythms are pretty original thrash like with a tint of speed to them. The leads do the band justice with a technical sound to them and with precision! This band has a pretty cool groove to their music as well. And the vocals are tolerable, too! I think between the guitars and the vocals, this band just rips. The production is pretty right on cue as well. It's a shame that this one is only 30 minutes in length.
The band has a lot of influences mainly the 80's thrash bands they thrive off. But they have their own unique riff style and I loved all the compositions. They really seem to know what they're doing musically! All the instruments were well played with vigor and aggression. It's the whole way through like this. They really have an original sound to them. I'm glad that I was able to be introduced to this band. They have balls. And just rip your ears apart. The energy is way there too, violent and with vigor! Even the amount of lead guitar work is amazing they know what they're doing in this department.
The sound of the album is great good production quality, everything fits in well together. That's what did the album justice was not only the music but the quality of the sound. I don't think any of these songs suck, I think they're all made through precision. They really know what they're doing and the thrash tone to the rhythms is what kicks ass. I think that this is one helluv a good release. The vocals dominate too, everything was mixed well in the recording. There were a lot of leads but they weren't sloppy at all. The guitars set the tone for the recording. And the voice was just right there beside the music.
The music on this one is done in deep admiration for metal and the leads just flow. Show support for the band even if you cannot find the CD. I like everything on CD but during these times, the digital era takes a bite out of the musicians royalties. You might be able to still find copies somewhere and they're worth it to find on CD.
