Sabaton - The Great War

#FOR FANS OF: Power Metal, Falconer
I was impressed from the beginning in first hearing this band and their power metal onslaught in 'The Great War'. I am not doubtful at all to give this a perfect score. The vocals and aura to the band makes this album invigorating. They really know how to hit home with some great and original power metal. The guitars were awesome and the synthesizers make the album that much of a "happier" sound. They really lift up the spirits here and the leads are with precision, carefully orchestrated. I would venture to say that this one is a top release in the year it was released (2019).

This album has a tinge of Falconer-like sounds to them. And the lead guitars are simply amazing! This is an all-out great power metal addition to the metal community. The vocals and synthesizers are a little overpowering but it doesn't make this any lesser in rating it. I thought that this would be not what I expected, but I was surprised in a good way. It's one release to turn on if you don't want to hear something brutal, it's the actual opposite of that. They are like I say "happy" metal they are invigorating. I like the fact that they do change things up on here it's not always in your face vocals and synthesizers.

I felt that the sound quality was really good! Between the music, the vocals and the production, it's a release that just nails it from start to finish! They don't disappoint. It might be under 40 minutes, but that doesn't take away from being a great release. Some of our MONUMENTS are only 30 minutes. So just be aware of this and hold on tight to it because it's mind blowing. The intensity and the overall sound quality is superior. These guys know how to tear it up in the lead department, too! The whole album has the listener keying into it and finding it amazing! It truly IS a MONUMENT.

If you're still reluctant about purchasing this release check it out on YouTube or Spotify. Then you'll get a feel for the band. If power metal isn't your "thing", then hold off. But if you want something invigorating and upbeat, you'll like this. It gave me pause at first then I slowly got into it and enjoy it from start to finish. It's just a lot of positive vibes here and the musicianship is phenomenal, I felt that the vocals were invigorating, absolutely! And the sound of this album is so positive. It really is something that can lift up your spirit if you're feeling distraught. Get it today or at least check it out! (Death8699)
